About Jeff Williams, LMFT
Professional
Dr. Brene’ Brown states that “We are hardwired to connect with others, it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives, and without it there is suffering.” I am committed to helping my clients improve their most important relationships even when sometimes that relationship is with themselves. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California and provide therapy to clients in the state and in other states where my license is allowed to do so via telehealth.
I believe my clients benefit from the diverse professional experiences I have had over the years, having provided services in private practice, community mental health and university counseling settings. I help people overcome restricting thoughts and beliefs that keep them stuck with anxiety, depression, unfulfilling relationships and life situations. I help create an atmosphere where people can fully embrace the present moment and properly identify and prioritize their most important values. I believe that by doing so consistently they can begin to build the worthwhile and satisfying life and relationships that they desire despite their circumstances.
Personal
I have spent most of my life in Southern California, I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Biola University and a M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I value most my roles as husband and father, both which I have been doing for more than 25 years, as they continue to be the most rewarding relationships of my life. When not in a global pandemic I enjoy spending time in movie theaters, beaches and restaurants. I also volunteer at my local church mentoring pre-marital couples.
